Photography Expeditions offer the ultimate instruction in digital imaging. Each trip is an opportunity to experience photographing subjects with an instructor by your side in the field. Participants not only gain understanding about digital photography, but also about their
equipment and proper shooting techniques. These expeditions will give you the opportunity to create great images and have lots of fun learning with others.

2010 Expeditions

Waterfall Day Trip (Roaring Fork & Crabtree Falls) August 8, 2010
This one day trip is for those who want to see some wonderful waterfalls and are willing to hike. We will meet at the Hampton Inn in Pineville at 6am that day and ride to Roaring Fork Falls off of the Blue Ridge Parkway. After photographing that, we will enjoy a picnic lunch (provided) and then hike down to Crabtree Falls. It is about 3.5 miles round trip and uphill for a good portion of the return trip. We should get back into Charlotte around 9pm. Cost: $149 and includes breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as transportation and instruction. Only 8 spots are available so sign up now.

Autumn NC Waterfall Trip (Brevard, NC) - October 17-18
Photograph some of the most beautiful waterfalls and beautiful fall colors in the mountains with a pro by your side! Cost: $350 Accommodations at the Hampton Inn in Brevard and meals included. Photograph gorgeous coastlines and mountain waterfalls in scenic Oregon with a group of professionals as your tour guides. Trip includes lodging, meals & ground transportation once the trip begins. Cost $1,700.

Zoo Trip (Columbia, SC) -
We will be meeting at the Hampton Inn in Pineville at am where we will be carpooling down to the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, SC (about 1.5 hours). We will spend the day going around the zoo as an informal group. We will be there to help, offer hints and to make sure you get the images that you want. We will stop for lunch around 12:00pm. After spending the rest of the afternoon we will leave the zoo around 4:30 to be back in Charlotte around 6:00pm.

Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens - Belmont, NC
